Information security

Human is and will stay the most crucial link in the information security. Unfortunately, at the same time, human is also the weakest link. Companies protect their internal network from the Internet by way of firewalls, applying Intruder Detection Systems, setting up procedures for dealing safely with confidential information and taking measurements for secure home working.

But it all stays human work and humans can be misled to do things that should, proceeding from security reasons, not be happening. Examination shows that 60% of all information security incidents are "inside jobs" . And still, to this form of threat, relatively little attention is been given by companies and organizations.

In the past couple of years, many organizations and companies have dealt with:

  • Phishing en Pharming (the tempting of employees to making public of sensitive information by way of fake-emails and fingered websites)
  • Social Engineering (the winning of trust by way of emails or community sites to finally get behind confidential information)
  • Revealing of confidential information on digital data-supports like USB-sticks.

But how can you ever arm yourself against these factors. This is only possible by active awakening within your organization or company.
